The second annual Durango Women's Leadership Conference is set for February 26th at 1:00 PM. The conference will be held in the Whalen Gymnasium and will bring together women from across the community for panel discussions, breakout sessions, and TED style talks focused on connecting emerging leaders with established voices in Durango. Organizers say the goal is to inspire collaboration across generations and proceeds from the event will benefit women's athletics at Fort Lewis College. Comedy fans will also have something to look forward to. On Friday, February 27th, rising standup comedian Olivia Carter is bringing her act to Durango for a one night performance. Carter has appeared oan the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and was named a new face at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. The show begins at 7:00 PM with doors opening at 6:30. Tickets are $25, and the event is for ages 18 and up. You can purchase tickets at durangocomedy.com And the Durango Independent Film Festival returns March 4th through the 8th, celebrating independent filmmaking with screenings across a variety of genres and bringing filmmakers and audiences together.
