The Washington Post published an opinion piece by four coroners resident Maddie Butcher on Monday, August 25th. The story titled A Reality Check for NPR stations in Trump Country explains how KS jds affiliation with NPR has made it difficult to reach conservative leaning listeners and sponsors. KSJD is expected to lose 30% of its support from federal funding cuts to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Butcher says Rural public radio stations conserve a broader audience and generate more bipartisan support by expanding its programs with segments like Farm News in views or additional conservative programming.
