Rocky Mountain PBS kicks off the week on Wednesday, March 11th with its Mini-Film Fest, part of the ongoing Everyday Democracy: Stories That Build Us Series running from 5:30 to 8:00 PM in the Vallecito room in the Student Union at Fort Lewis College. The free event features a collection of short films, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and community - from small town life to chosen families. The screenings will be followed by a facilitated discussion on community power and access. Snacks and drinks will be provided and registration is encouraged. The series is presented in collaboration with PBS's POV documentary program. On March 13th and 14th Friends of the Library returns with its annual Spring Book Sale at the Durango Public Library. Running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM thousands of titles will be available with hard covers priced at $1 and paperbacks going two for $1. A large children's section will also be featured. Library friends members can take advantage of early entry beginning at 9:30 AM. Memberships are available at the door and on online. And on Tuesday, March 17th, hip hop artist Grieves is bringing his Out Cold Tour 4 to Animus City Theater. Joined by Blueprint and Ben Shelton. The show starts at 8:00 PM with doors opening at 7:00.
