For its 20th year, Noel Night is celebrating all day long with specials, sales and more. Earn rewards this season by shopping local through the Business Improvement District's Holiday Rewards Program. And the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have recognized San Juan Basin Public Health for the work it's done to make healthcare more accessible to women in the community through its Women's Health Clinic. You are watching the Local News Roundup, brought to you by the law firms of Downs, McDonough, Cowan & Foley, and Serious Texas Barbecue. I'm Hannah Robertson. San Juan Basin Public Health's Women's Health Clinic received recognition from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for its work helping Hispanic women from low income backgrounds access healthcare. The Women's Health Clinic noticed that Hispanic women often had a very difficult time accessing basic healthcare due to transportation, language barriers, financial barriers, and more. By partnering with local organizations and hosting regular online meetings where people could learn about what kind of resources were available to them, San Juan Basin Public Health was able to build a foundation of resources, trust, and people to assist women in the community to access basic and lifesaving healthcare.
